I've been using JungleDisk to backup my wifes computer (Windows) for a few
years now and it works really well.

https://www.jungledisk.com/downloads/personal/desktop/linux/

I've loaded the Linux client a couple times and the software is smart enough
to let multiple machines access the same repository at the same time.

I did sign up back when they were a separate company, so my only monthly
cost is the Amazon Web Services storage and transfer fees. I currently have
about 40GB of photos and other documents and my monthly bill is about $6.00.

Since I joined, they were purchased by Rackspace and I believe they have
switched to a different pricing model. (IIRC, the Rackspace storage is a
flat $0.15/GB/Month, and Amazon is $0.14/GB/Month+transfer fees.)

The windows client has a decent scheduler that has the option to send an
e-mail report after the backup is complete, and there is also a way to make
the "cloud copy" accessible via a drive letter if necessary. I'm sure the
Linux version has a way to mount and backup via command line.
