Such decisions are above my paygrade.
There are people at the top of the totem pole, people at the bottom of
the totem pole, and I'm the hole the totem sits in. That being said, I
may try to eventually move over to one of the groups that handles one
of our Linux or Solaris systems.
My thinking at the moment is a vbscript on a Windows box that reads
the log file, outputs a text file, and then I call putty and tell
putty to run the commands from that text file on the Solaris box.
However, I know jack about vbscript and I'm currently stumbling
through that.
