You need an official install of Silverlight to use Netflix on a PC, this is a DRM restriction not a technical shortcoming of Moonlight.
I have Boxee on an OSX HTPC and I actually like my Roku's interface better. I think a streaming box like Roku/AppleTV is a good complement to an HTPC but you can't do everything well with only one.
