I also have an EVO on Sprint. I have my frustrations with Android, but Sprint's service has always been good.
3G is slow, though, especially if you tether. The extra surcharge for data on the EVO is irritating since I can't use 4G. Probably going to jump to Verizon when they launch LTE in Omaha. No word from Sprint when (if ever) we will get WiMax.
Sprint loves to load crapware on your android phone, so you will have to root it if that bothers you.
