I'm afraid that I cheat by redefining the problem. Because of copyright
problems I don't tempt myself by running cable TV through the
computer but rather directly to the monitor.
Beyond that I can get older PCs with Monitor for under $100. From there
I load up VLC and Firefox with DownloadHelper 4.8.2 and call it a day.
