I've been using Dokuwiki both at work and for my own notes. It works very
well. No database is required, which could be a pro or a con. Formatting
syntax is super easy (http://www.dokuwiki.org/syntax) and the fancy-text
editor gives you a toolbar with the most common formats so you don't even
have to remember it.

The only non-intuitive caveat is namespacing. You HAVE to prefix your links
to other sections with the namespace, or else you'll create all your pages
in the root.
