[olug] OT: Any recommendations for a good electronics guru?

I've never opened up an OLPC, but most laptops have different cables between the 
keyboard and touchpad.  If this one does not, then there's a slim chance the 
cable is the problem, but I'd lean more toward the motherboard, particularly if 
an external mouse doesn't work properly.

 I ran the Harry Potter books through a spell checker; none of those spells 
should work.

An external keyboard seems to work, but the mouse only moves the cursor
along the x-axis for some reason.  I think this laptop is running the
original version of Sugar that it shipped with.
