Off topic, but I'm not really sure where / who to ask.
I'm starting to use my own mail servers for a lot of things. Got tired of
filling my gmail account with stuff and would also like a slightly less
'prying eyes' stuff etc etc etc. In the past I've never cared, but .... I
figure 'why the hell not' now.
So I've been creating various site at my.server addresses, setting up IMAP for
all of them, and starting to change them to all point to it.
Anyhoo, since it's all now IMAP and just some webmail thing.... and I'd like
to consolidate number of open windows and such... I've started to once again
look at stand alone email programs.
Installed thunderbird under windows (used at work), and ... I've got some
questions or reservations.
If my email client insists on keeping a local cache of any kind, i'd like it
to be encrypted. Is there something like that available ?
Is there a way to make sure that thunderbird runs completely in 'online'
mode or similar where it does not keep a local cache ?
------
Basically, what I want is an email program that either keeps local
cache/copies encrypted, or never puts any of the mail on disk. Needs to be
windows software.
Any suggestions ?
