[olug] [OT] Buying Cat5 cable locally...best price?

Stinkin PS3 only 802.11g... :( most home folks okay with 802.11b/g/n but anyone serious about their network or moving a lot of data around would like to have high thruput and low latency. Wire/fiber ay yar! I don't use fiber for house for obvious reasons but at work we run it to the max. Isn't there a wireless 1G that is out? Not sure if it's ratified or whatev tho.

Nope. For internal file transfer, sneakernet probably works just fine. Or more probably, email. Ugh. I can't stand doing it that way, but for other people, that's probably the only way they know how.
