[olug] vmware P2V Centos 5.4

When you did the p2v, did you remember to uninstall any hardware junk that normally blows up P2V?  Software like Dell OpenManage, HP Insight, IBM Director, etc that is designed for hardware support often cause havoc with the VM after the P2V process, and usually it's too late to fix it because it won't boot.  I uninstall as much as I can stand prior to the P2V process.

IF this is not the issue, I don't have any other tips for you, per se.

I am trying to convert 2 physical 5.4 boxes to run on our VMWare platform and I am having a hell of a time, anyone have any tricks? it dies when it  is booting up saying something tried to kill init. any ideas?
