I'm just a Linux noob at best but just my 2cents. Have you tried removing the office package completely and then running install?
sudo apt-get purge openoffice*.*
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libreoffice
