Your bill is nearly the same on verizon with only 4 GB total isage allowed?
As I said with ATT, each line has its own. You could buy a lesser amount of data, but do you really want to pay $20 for 500 megs, when you can get 3 GB for $30.

-nod- As a family, on average, we're only using 2GB total per month (out of the 4 we're paying for). Does AT&T drastically lower their bill for that volume of usage?

That's what Verizon does do. Your "giant pool" is whatever you want to pay for. We started at 8GB per month total, didn't use it, dropped down to 4GB.

Are you talking about Sprint? We left Sprint unlimited because it was unusably slow. Unlimited crap (zomg so slowwww) is still crap.  :/
