[olug] Gigabit Internet

I received the CL mailer this week that said fiber was coming to our
neighborhood - mark sprinklers, etc. Cox was ahead of the curve, and
called last week offering (I was on Premier) Ultimate with a free new
modem, while reducing my monthly bill by $10-15 (2-year "price lock"
contract - I've been with Cox for 8 years, what's another 2). While
also not gigabit, I don't think there are enough providers that I care
enough about offering uplinks beyond what I can pull down. Netflix /
Hulu work just fine on Premier, so it'll be interesting if there is a
noticeable difference beyond plain Speedtests / ISO downloads.
