[olug] MAME project for a school.

(Sorry for the delayed response...)

So, what options do you suggest if we aren't using a RPi, rather we're
using a donated PC? When I last looked into this, KnoppixMAME (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/knoppixmame/) was the thing to use, but
that project has apparently gone by the wayside. Cost is a major factor
($0.00 budget to my knowledge), so even a 'cheap' RPi would be out of our
personal pocket and if it had to be replaced it would be another purchase.

Is there a bootable Linux distribution that we could use (and quickly fall
back to in case the original system died or was 'compromised'), then they
could re-populate a "roms" directory with the appropriate games and be off?

If not, this sounds like a small project to start up... :)

Thanks in advance! I'll put up pictures and notes when it gets completed.
