[olug] C book recs

In college our C texbook was K&R.  I had never seen C before (but was
a decent Pascal coder).  I was totally lost.  Add to the fact that
none of my programs in that class actually compiled and I still got an
A tells you how much the professor cared.

Since I needed to do some C stuff the next semester I bought
"Practical C Programming" (i.e. The Cow Book) and went through it over
that Christmas break.  The next semester, then, I used K&R as a good
reference and "how does C really do that?" type of thing, in which The
Cow Book didn't have.  The Cow Book nor K&R talk about the standard C
library, which is invaluable to know (not just in C, but in any
language) so I picked up a reference book for that.

That's my story about C.  I don't think I've touched C in years  . . .
