The thought of using a local colo instead of my basement with a Cox business line is very exciting. I look forward to the break down on cost.
I'm currently using 2 standard Dell towers (one for Xen hosting several webservers, a mail server, and a dns server, and one running pfSense) and have a small CIDR block of addresses. In our colo I wouldn't need the pfSense box, but I will miss it as that is some pretty cool software.
I should be able to get my hands on a Cisco 20port FiberChannel switch for next to nothing, if we had a need for it and something to connect it too. Would be nice to give back to the OLUG after all the years the group has come to my rescue.
Thanks to all that is putting in the work setting this up!
