I use a MikroTik as my “core” at my house and I have 2 NetGear GS108E
access switches for my desk and another behind my TV in the living room.

The is very powerful as far as VLANs, virtual routers, ect. It would also
act as your WAN router and perform that function as well. I can’t vouch for
the wireless though since I use Ubiquiti for that.

My specific model is CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN and it costs $200.

Hey guys,

Do you have brand of network switch that you prefer to use? Something
reliable that doesn't cost an arm & a leg?

I need a new rack-mount, 16-port switch for my rack at home, and
probably a couple smaller ones for satellite locations. A managed
switch would be gravy, but really isn't necessary. PPoE would be
helpful, but again, isn't required.

I'm fed up with TP-LINK after their business-class switch died a second
time in 18 months, and finding that their customer support is a
nightmare to deal with. It took 10 days to get them to even issue an
RMA, and then they required me to pay shipping for a warranty replacement.
